Turbiscan TRI-LAB is a multisample stability analyzer based on the SMLS technology. It enables fast and reliable shelf-life studies of formulations (emulsions, suspensions and foams). The Turbiscan TRI-LAB operates with 3 independent measurement positions for rapid and quantified comparisons of dispersion properties. The stability studies can be done from 20 to 60°C to mimic storage and shelf life conditions or to accelerate the studies. The technology guarantees a direct reading of macroscopic and colloidal stability without dilution or mechanical stress.

Highlights of Turbiscan Tri-Lab

Multisample Stability Analysis

Up to 3 samples can be analyzed at the same, making the Turbiscan TRI-LAB an extremely versatile instrument for comparison or multiple project use. Formulations and dispersions are analyzed without dilution or mechanical stress for real stability measurement.

Measurement of stability & size

 > Quantitative monitoring of dispersion stability
> Shelf life & long term stability analysis
> Migration velocity
> Aggregation & agglomeration kinetics
Mean diameter
 Dispersibility ratio
> Volume fraction

Accelerated aging conditions

Temperature control from 20 to 60°C offers the possibility to speed up measurement time and observe destabilization in real usage,  storage, and shipping conditions. TURBISCAN technology is up to 200 times faster that traditional visual tests.

Turbiscan Stability Index

TSI scale provides a single value to rapidly asses and rank formulation stability independently on occurring phenomena. It is now possible to evaluate sample stability with just one number.

Key benefits

TURBISCAN is the world reference technology for direct physical stability analysis. With hassle-free sample preparation, intuitive software, and highly reliable measurements, Turbiscan TRILAB has become an irreplaceable tool for any formulator.

The instrument measures up to 3 samples at a time, on disposable 4 or 20mL glass cells, and at temperature from 20°C to 60°C. The stability reading can be done through the software and is also displays on the front LCD screen of the TRILAB for fast overview of the occurring stability measurement.

TURBISCAN technologies are compliant with International Organization for Standardization guidelines for the characterization of dispersion stability (ISO/TR 13097, ISO/TR 18811) and particle size determination (ISO/TR 13014, ISO/TS 21357).
